LighterMate was designed around The Dual Magnetic Interlocking Patent Pending Pin System. It’s this mechanism – The Mate Mechanism – that distinguishes LighterMate from all other lighters.

It starts with a powerful, rare earth magnet housed inside the bottom of yourLighterMate. This keeps it securely attached to any accessory using one of our patentpending docking pins. A quick tug releases the lighter, but leaves the magnet in such a position that when you’re ready to re-attach, your LighterMate literally sucks in the docking pin with a satisfying and reassuring CLICK. It’s that easy.

By housing a magnetic mechanism inside each LighterMate, we’ve been able to develop all kinds of docking ideas. That’s right – your LighterMate attaches easily to your fridge, your car, your grill or anywhere you’ve ever seen a magnet before. We’ve also created a long line of accessories using this concept, making it easier than ever to keep track of your lighter, while still having quick access anytime you need it.
